In my many years as an Aurora photographer, I have been asked about the best camera settings to use for sharp Aurora photos.

​ My fascination with the Aurora Borealis was realized in 2014 while I was at the Svalbard archipelago in January of that year. It was deep into Polar Night while I was in the world's northernmost town of Longyearbyen, walking to the town center from the guesthouse in the late afternoon when I noticed an iridescent ribbon of green light over the top of a bluff.
